Opinly Now Publishes Directly to Framer

Opinly now connects directly to Framer. You can plan, write, and publish SEO content in Opinly and it lands in your Framer CMS and goes live on your site — no copy-paste, no plugin to install, nothing for a developer to deploy.

Framer was the one major site builder Opinly couldn't publish to. That gap is now closed: Opinly publishes to WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, and Framer, plus headless and custom sites through the SDK. If you picked Framer for the site build, you now get the same automated content workflow every other platform already had.

Why we built this

Framer is a brilliant tool for designing and shipping a site — which is exactly why so many startups, agencies, and design-led teams choose it. But its CMS was built for designing content, not for running a content operation: there's no drafts pipeline, no SEO tooling, and no bulk publishing.

Until now, a Framer user running Opinly had to recreate every post by hand — paste the body into a CMS item, re-upload the cover image, retype the meta description, set the date, republish the site. Every single post. That manual step is gone.

How do you connect Opinly to Framer?

Connecting takes about two minutes, with no app install:

Paste your Framer project URL and an API key from Framer.
Pick which CMS collection is your blog. Opinly lists your collections for you.
Map your fields. Opinly reads the actual fields in your collection, and you match them to Title, Body, Excerpt, Meta description, Cover image, Date, Category, and Author.

The field mapping is the part we care most about: the integration adapts to your schema, not the other way around. You don't rename fields or restructure your CMS to fit Opinly — whatever structure you built your site with, Opinly maps to it. Only Title and Body are required; everything else is optional.

What can you do once it's connected?

Publish and schedule straight to your live site

Hitting publish in Opinly creates the CMS item in Framer, fills in your mapped fields, and republishes your Framer site. That last part matters: the post is genuinely live on your site, not sitting as an unpublished CMS entry waiting for someone to press Publish in Framer. Editing a post in Opinly and republishing updates the same Framer item — no duplicates.

Scheduling works the same way, so your content calendar runs on autopilot for Framer just like it does for every other platform.

Bring your existing Framer posts into Opinly

When you connect, Opinly imports the posts already in your collection — body content, cover images, in-body images, and dates — and turns each one into an editable draft. You don't start from an empty content library: your whole existing blog is immediately there to edit, optimise, and re-publish.

Stay in sync automatically

A periodic background sync keeps Opinly up to date with your Framer collection, so changes made on the Framer side — including slug changes — don't leave Opinly's view of your blog stale.

Track real pages, not guessed URLs

Opinly reads each post's actual live URL from your published site's sitemap rather than assuming a URL pattern. Rank tracking, backlink checks, and content analytics all point at the real page — whether your blog lives at /blog/, /journal/, /insights/, or anywhere else.

One-click analytics pixel install (early access)

Because Opinly already holds the connection to your Framer site, it can install the Opinly analytics pixel for you and republish — no code snippet to paste, no rebuild. This is rolling out gradually, so treat it as early access for now.

What's not included yet

We'd rather be straight with you about the edges:

Tags aren't pushed to Framer collections.
Deleting or unpublishing a post in Opinly doesn't remove it from Framer — that's still a manual step on the Framer side.
Author and Category are filled when mapped to a plain text or option field. If your site uses separate Author or Category collections referenced from your blog collection, those fields won't be populated.
Authors flow one way — from Framer into Opinly. Authors created in Opinly aren't pushed up to Framer.
The inbound sync is a periodic background sync, not an instant two-way link.

Why now?

Framer has been opening up fast — Framer 3.0, launched in June, was its biggest release yet and a clear signal that Framer wants to be a platform other tools build with, not just a destination you publish to. This integration is our side of that handshake.
