If you've decided to cancel your Opinly subscription, this guide walks you through the full process.
How to cancel: step by step
1. Go to Settings → Billing Log in and navigate to your billing page at opinly.ai/dashboard/billing.
2. Click "Cancel Subscription" Scroll to your plan details and click the Cancel Subscription button. This opens the cancellation flow, no changes are made at this point.
3. Select a cancellation reason Pick the option that best describes why you're leaving. The available reasons are: too expensive, not using it enough, missing features, found an alternative, technical issues, need a temporary pause, business closed, or other.
4. Confirm your cancellation On the final screen, confirm your decision. You'll see the exact date your access ends, that's the last day of your current billing cycle.
What happens after you cancel
Immediately - Your subscription is flagged to cancel at period end. You receive a confirmation with the exact date your access expires.
Until the period ends - You retain full access to Opinly. All your dashboards, tracked competitors, and data remain available. You can reactivate at any time during this window.
When the period ends - Your subscription is marked as cancelled, your organisation is deactivated, and access to paid features is removed. You won't be charged again.
Note for credit/prepaid plans: If you're on a credit-based or prepaid plan rather than a recurring subscription, cancellation takes effect immediately rather than at the period end.
Changed your mind? How to reactivate
As long as your billing period hasn't ended, you can undo your cancellation. Go back to Settings → Billing and click Reactivate Subscription. This removes the cancellation and your plan continues as normal - nothing changes and no new payment is taken.
If you were paused rather than cancelled, the same button resumes billing from your next cycle.
If your access has already lapsed, reactivation through the dashboard isn't available. Email support@opinly.ai and we'll help you get back up and running.
FAQS
Will I be charged again after cancelling?
No. Once you cancel, no further payments are taken. Your current period is already paid and access runs until the end of it.
Can I get a refund for unused time?
We don't offer partial-period refunds for mid-cycle cancellations. Your subscription remains fully active until the period end date. If you have exceptional circumstances, contact our support team.
I'm having a technical issue - should I cancel?
Please don't cancel because of a technical problem, we'd much rather fix it. Reach out via in-app chat or email support@opinly.ai and we'll make it a priority.
I cancelled but changed my mind. What do I do?
If your billing period hasn't ended, go to Settings → Billing and click Reactivate Subscription. If it has already ended, email support@opinly.ai and we'll help you restart.
